It’s an exciting time of year when the next season POW boards are revealed and this year is no exception! Burton and K2 have stepped up once again and created awesome new tech boards that will make anyone smile (if they are lucky enough to get their hands on them). K2 has brought out some new backcountry and sidecountry boards that will have you knocking down the door of your closest store. The shape behind the new Peacekeeper, Ultradream and Highlife has been called Tweekends; an idea that a heavily blunted nose will retain the intended turn shape more successfully. These boards also come with some cool graphics.
Burton has also come out with some great new additions to the ‘Family Tree’ for the 2012-13 season including the Spliff; a micro spiltboard that features a stumpy tail and shovel nose. Only being sold at 148cm this board has the advantage when riding on a slight hill as it is lighter. The Custom Restricted line has added a limited edition with a new Flying V board featuring Kermit the Frog graphics. There are only a few of these being sold so not everyone will get to ride on Kermit.
The Ramat Team are definitely getting excited for the 2012-13 with the release of new POW boards. We look forward to hearing about more new tech boards as the season gets closer.
